Fresh Perspectives, Enhanced Thinking, and Recognition: Why I Joined The ICF
As a Certified Human Potential Coach working online worldwide in both French and English, I joined the International Coach Federation (ICF) in 2019. Why? Because it’s a leading global organization of 27,000-plus professional personal and business coaches and it offers the only independent and internationally recognized coach credentialing program. It is one way to keep abreast of best practices and offer the very best to my clients.
ICF defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. Coaching is a distinct service and differs greatly from therapy, consulting, mentoring, or training. Individuals who engage in a coaching relationship can expect to experience fresh perspectives on personal challenges and opportunities, enhanced thinking and decision-making skills, enhanced interpersonal effectiveness, and increased confidence in carrying out their chosen work and life roles.
Human Potential Coaching means that I’m an executive life coach and work with high performers who live this crazy life full throttle and keep wanting more. I help them find the energy, time, and vision to achieve their goals and build the life that matters most to them. I combine a background in communications with a passion for biohacking, positive psychology, and neuroscience, and round off my experience with traditional practices—gourmet cooking, mindfulness, meditation, martial arts, and tai chi.
I sincerely believe that when we have more energy, the rest is a whole lot easier.
For me, part of coaching means challenging people to find the time, commit, and turn theory into practice. Skilled at simplifying the complex and cutting to the chase, I am dedicated to helping people keep their footing in a world of dynamic change. It helps to understand how the body and mind work together.
Following my own precepts, I challenged myself, made the decision, and committed to join the group of professionals dedicated to advancing the coaching profession by setting high ethical standard, providing independent certification and building a worldwide network of credentialed coaches across a variety of coaching disciplines. ICF is active in representing all facets of the coaching industry including Executive, Life Vision and Enhancement, Leadership, Relationship, and Career Coaching. Its 27,000-plus members located in more than 135 countries work toward the common goal of enhancing awareness of coaching, upholding the integrity of the profession, and continually educating themselves with the newest research and practices.
“Anne possesses a quality that is priceless among coaches: straight talk. Her ability to listen, her authenticity, and the pertinence of her questions enabled me to perceive the challenges I was facing from a new perspective and to find the courage to overcome them.”
—E. Clément, business founder and consultant
